It’s great to get outdoors at the moment while the bluebells are out, carpeting the woods in a haze of blue and purple!
My most recent photography projects have given me the wonderful opportunity to spend time visiting some beautiful gardens around Scotland. I’ve been so lucky to be outdoors, taking photographs of some gorgeous products of several knitwear companies from the West to the East Coast of Scotland – blogs on these to follow!
In the meantime I thought I would share with you some of the gorgeous colours, flowers, backdrops and in particular the INSPIRATION Scottish Gardens have to offer:
Whether that be providing a relaxing spot in the sun for a spot of afternoon tea:
Or providing a brilliant setting for some Country Living inspired styling:
I seem to have a familiar hen lurking in the background…..
….here she is again!
Bursts of colour fill the flower beds:
Peacocks have also featured with their impressive vibrant feather displays:
Moving over the the West Coast of Scotland:
I was very lucky to have to opportunity to photograph a textile shoot at Geilston Gardens recently near Cardross, Argyll and Bute. Geilston Gardens is a beautiful property of the National Trust For Scotland and provides a brilliant base for a day out.
Developed over 200 years ago, Geilston Gardens offers a traditional walled garden, kitchen garden and beautiful woodland to explore. If you go now, the bluebells are at their height! I very much recommend it!
More on my photography shoot at Geilston Gardens is shortly to appear on the blog so please keep a look out for this! I will be showing some of my photography of a wonderful Alpaca Knitwear company based on the West Coast of Scotland.
