I’m writing this blog sitting in Liberty London cafe sipping my mango, rose hip and orange smoothie and I feel distinctly Scottish…maybe it’s the white skin, the fact I’m in tights or my tartan handbag that’s giving it away….
However, despite this I always seem to feel like I’m at home here in this iconic department store.
Every time I head to London, I make a beeline for the top floor at Liberty’s. I’m like a child in a sweet shop, no one can prize me away as I become mesmerised with the opulent fabrics, luxury contemporary wallpaper and velvet cushions. I could spend hours….oh hang on a second – it’s 18.28, I HAVE SPENT HOURS!!!
But I thought what a perfect excuse to visit the Liberty London cafe to write my latest blog post. There’s something about sitting in this wonderfully hip cafe sipping on my smoothie, surrounded by designer wallpaper and waiters pouring champagne that makes it instantly feel like the true life of an interiors blogger!
And of course the chance to nibble on a Liberty fruit scone or two.
So I came to London for a bit of market research, an excuse to check out the latest interior trends to discover what’s new on the block as well as have some exciting conversations with companies for my own Mairi Helena interiors collection…(you’ll just have to keep your eyes peeled on that one!!)
And I thought I would share with you my top favourite interior design shops that you seriously MUST visit every time you visit the city for a spot of home interior shopping.
