Wallpaper doesn’t just have to be for the walls, does it? I love seeing my wallpapers being used in all sorts of different ways whether that be for an exciting up-cycle project, a colourful artwork on the wall or even a quirky cupboard makeover!
I’ve popped together a list of five different ways in which I like to introduce my Mairi Helena Wallpaper into the home and would love to know what you think!
Large walk in wardrobes are a perfect wallpapering opportunity spot just waiting to happen in my book! You can instantly change dull wardrobe doors into a striking feature for the room by wallpapering the front panels.

Alternatively, if your wardrobe or cupboard is big enough you could provide a burst of unexpected colourful delight by wallpapering the insides – we all love the unexpected!

It’s amazing what a lick of paint and a splash of luxcycling can do to an old tired piece of furniture. Perhaps you have a much loved hand me down but it’s just needing a bit of a revamp? Applying wallpaper to side units or a desk can bring a fun, contemporary twist to what initially started as a plain piece of furniture. Experiment! How about the back of a glass cabinet or back of a bookshelf? Something that I’ve always wanted to do is wallpaper a stair case….I’m working on it!
Wallpaper offcuts never go to waste. Colourful wallpaper provides the perfect opportunity in which to frame a section for an instant splash of vibrant wall art. My Mairi Helena Island Botanist Wallpaper goes perfectly with a statement gold frame don’t you think?! A smaller piece of my Mairi Helena Emerald Thistle Wallpaper framed above.
Of course, when there’s a wall that’s destined to be a feature wall, then don’t hold back! A wallpapered wall can act as a hugely satisfying art work for the room and a real focus point. The walls around a mantelpiece can be a natural spot for a feature wall.

Wallpaper in the bathroom?! Who’s a fan? Here’s a splash of my Mairi Helena Emerald Thistle Wallpaper brightening up this bathroom wall.
